ShoenenThis is a featured page

Shoenen is developed to appeal directly to a young male audience. Most of the story lines are more aggressive and often involve some form of confrontation or fighting, whether between robots, humans, or mystical figures. Some examples of shoenen are Dragonball Z and Flame of Recca. The roles of females in these series are generally minor, existing only to re-enforce the intended grandeur of the male characters.
