Considered one of the most accessible works of anime, Spirited Away won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film in 2003. While Miyazaki has threatened to walk away from directing on a number of occasions, the commitment of the Walt Disney Company to distribute his work should only continue to grow his audience, and consequently the desire for more continued production. He recently completed his latest work, Howl’s Moving Castle.

Hayao Miyazaki is one of my favorite artists. I have a set of DVDs including: Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, Laputa (Castle in the Sky,) Howl's Moving Castle, and Porco Rosso. I didn't like Porco Rosso very much, but I love the rest of them. They are definitely a set of some of me favorite movies.
