Case ClosedThis is a featured page

Case Closed, or rather Detective Conan in Japan and most non-English speaking countries, is a mystery/detective manga and anime. Created by Gosho Aoyama and published in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since 1994, it is the longest running anime of all history.

The anime, produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha, has over 440 episodes and 10 movies in Japan, and is remarkably still running! It recently reached America in 2003, appearing as a dubbed cartoon on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

The story revolves around the main character, Kudo Shin'ichi (Jimmy Kudo), a high school student and detective. He inadvertently witnesses a crime, is spotted, and drugged. However, the poison does not kill him; instead, he awakes in the body of an elementary student. For the rest of the series, he hides his identity, though continuing to solve mysteries, hoping to discover a cure to his unexplained youth.

Because of its great, lengthy success, it has been added as one of the Top 10 Anime Titles.
